Velor

Pre-launch. Velor is in development. These docs describe the protocol as it will operate at mainnet launch: contract addresses, audit reports, execution-quality data, and live track records will be published here the moment they exist.

Part VIII · FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is my money locked up?

No. Withdrawals settle at the next market window (Monday, 30 minutes after the US open), and the in-kind exit works at any moment, in any condition.

What do I actually own?

Vault shares: a claim on a proportional slice of every asset the basket holds, redeemable in cash or in the assets themselves.

Who's managing my basket?

The strategist named on the basket page; see their live track record there. They propose the portfolio; Velor's engine executes within the basket's mandate; they never hold your money.

What does the AI actually do?

Suggests portfolio changes, inside strict rules, with human review, and explains every move publicly after it happens. It cannot touch funds.

What can I lose?

Whatever the market takes: a basket of stocks can absolutely go down. What you can't lose is money to someone taking it: no such path exists in the code.

What happens if Velor shuts down?

The vaults keep running on the blockchain. You redeem in-kind directly from the contract; we publish a standalone tool and guide for exactly this case.

Why did my order execute at a different price than when I placed it?

Orders execute at the next window (Monday, 30 minutes after the open) at the prices that actually trade there, not at the price showing when you confirmed. Markets move in between — especially over a weekend, when stocks reprice on news while the chain keeps running. We show you the timing before you confirm.

Why is a basket "paused: market data unavailable"?

Usually a corporate action (dividend processing, stock split) pauses that stock's price feed. Cash orders queue until it clears; your exit options are unaffected.

How does Velor make money?

A share of strategist fees, both management and performance. That's the entire model: no spreads, no payment for order flow, no yield skimming. (A small flat order fee is designed, to recover sponsored gas once the chain's fee waiver ends; it is not charged today and the app will itemize it before it ever is.)

Where are the contracts?

Security & Trust → Contract addresses. Everything is verified and public. Don't trust; check.
